Concentration of all information for families in one "house"

The difficulty: For parents of children with pre-existing autism  A lot today  Sources of information - different sites, associations, different groups  On the social network, etc., but at the end of the day one place is missing that will be a home for the community.

The challenge:  One place that will also be able to concentrate all the knowledge for parents, and in addition will be alive and breathing and dynamic and will allow a home for the community and a supportive discourse  And for consultation between all parties.

Reducing cases of abuse of autistics

The difficulty:  Prevention of abuse and neglect of children (0-18) with autism

Children with disabilities suffer 2.2 to 3.8 times more injury and abuse than children without disabilities.

Among children with developmental intellectual disabilities: 3.5 times, and children with autism - 4.8 times more than all children in Israel.

It is estimated that in Israel, about  90,000 children with disabilities suffer from abuse and neglect, a number that is  about-  3.3% of all children in Israel. (This rate is similar to countries in the Western world).

The challenge:

  1.   Real-time reporting of cases - both individual and autistic in institutions, with early detection and identification of cases of abuse

  2.   Raising awareness in Israeli society -  While harnessing the public to activity on the issue

Emotional or sensory regulation monitoring

Difficulty: In case of sensory flooding, autistics may lose control, or alternatively shut down

Objective:  Focuses on two levels:

  1. Reducing the extent of stimuli in the external environment -  Which will allow autistic people a quieter and calmer environment

  2. Creating tools for slow adaptation  And gradually  - which will allow autistics to get used to  To the environment, or tools that will allow the environment to get used to autistics

Improving accessibility and independent integration in society

The difficulty:  In the field of accessibility, there is a great difficulty in the independence of people with autism, and in their ability to integrate into society.

The difficulty is expressed on two levels:

  1. When autistic people engage in day-to-day operations with organizations (such as local authorities, businesses, government ministries, hospitals, banks, etc.).

  2. The ability to integrate people with autism into Israeli society, both in employment and in connecting different populations, and in creating new opportunities for them.

The challenge: the ability to promote technologies for information simplification, to raise society's awareness of autistics, training solutions for service providers that will focus on the ability to identify, communicate and assist people with autism and especially to promote social integration.

Corona, anxiety and activity at home as well

The difficulty: Lack of autistic participation in employment activities  (The issue becomes sub-valid on closing days)

The challenges:

  1. Activities and employment - creating activities for autistics and maintaining continuity over time, in order not to disrupt a routine which is an important basis for stability for autistics

  2. Anxiety - The Corona has created anxiety in autistics and the challenge here is to be able to create information and a framework that will explain to them what an emergency situation is and how it is right for an autistic person to deal with an emergency situation.

The criteria for judging the projects

Impact

To what extent does the venture bring about change? Possible competitors? What is on the market today?  Has a feasibility study been carried out? What is the economic model? How does the solution fit into an existing fabric - and into an ecosystem?

Here we examine which people the project will affect in the first circle and in the other circles.

Characteristics of: broad impact on different audiences, reference to cultural, linguistic, geographical diversity should be addressed.

In addition, other players with decisive influence must be considered - government bodies, the media, the public, organizations, etc.

applicability

Until  How practical is the venture? What is a possible execution time, how will the success of the project be measured? Is there an ability to replicate and expand to more audiences?

Here we examine the degree of regulatory feasibility (regulation), technological feasibility (whether the technology exists or future), social feasibility (whether tailored to the target audience), applied feasibility (whether there is a partner or a specific target audience for the implementation and operation of the venture) and economic feasibility (model Sustainable business).

Innovation

Until  How innovative is the idea? Emotional distractors should be completely ignored.  There are lots of dreams, few are able to realize.

An enterprise should challenge an existing situation, have marketing capabilities and not esoteric.

Here, the degree of technological innovation and the use of advanced technology will be examined, whether in the framework of interdisciplinary innovation (which combines different content worlds), a response to an unmet need, or whether in the development or upgrade of a new product or service that creates significant value.

The staff

How much  What team members are capable of producing the change?

The ability of the team to raise money should be considered, the ability of the team to realize his dream over time should be considered, and the relevant team experience.

Here we will examine how autonomous the team is, the composition (multidisciplinary, or social diversity), the commitment to the project and the willingness to continue to develop it, and the presentation (professional).

The answer / product / solution

Until  How much value does the response give to the general population?

The degree of contribution of the enterprise to as many people as possible should be considered within a reasonable time frame.
